THE BIRTHING OF A VISION
In February of 2002, Pastors Franklyn and Althea Alexander answered the call of God and started P.W.G.M. in their basement apartment with 2 members. This event was the birth of a vision that was given to them by God years ago when they both attended the West Indies School of Theology and graduated together in May 1999.
After growing too large for their basement apartment, P.W.G.M. began sharing space with other churches. Finally, in December of 2007, P.W.G.M. found their own space in the East New York section of Brooklyn. This in itself was an answer to prayer as Pastors Franklyn and Althea encouraged the members to pray specifically for the type of space they wanted - large enough to host other churches, no steps so that wheelchair bound people could have easy access, the right amount of rent that would be comfortable for the congregation to pay. The pastors and members of P.W.G.M. prayed specifically and God answered specifically.
Today, this ministry continues to grow and do what the Lord has called them to do, that is, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with a dying world and to disciple all those who would answer the call and come to Jesus for salvation.
P.W.G.M. is a non-denominational church consisting of believers in Jesus Christ from various countries including - Barbados, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States of America.
